What Is This?

Bob Moon is a passionate lover of the arts living in San Francisco. He currently writes CD reviews for Audiophile Audition (http://www.audaud.com/) and articles on classical music for San Francisco Classical Voice (http://www.sfcv.org/). His articles have been published in Strings Magazine. He loves all classical music - symphonic music, chamber music, opera and recitals, and attends many concerts in the Bay Area. A special area of expertise is twentieth century classical music. He also has an extensive classical music CD collection and subscribes to many classical music magazines. He also loves with opera shown in movie theaters (Met Live in HD and Emerging Pictures). He has taken many classes in classical music, the most recent being "American Masters" at City College of San Francisco.

His second love is film, especially thrillers and movies of psychological depth. I'm a lifelong movie goer, have an extensive DVD collection, am a Netflix subscriber and have taken many classes on film history and criticism.

He also visits many art museums in the Bay Area, especially the Museum of Modern Art. He has taken classes in Contemporary Art and Modern Art at City College of San Francisco.

His professional background includes Masters Degrees in Business Administration and Arts Administration. He has been Director of the Kansas Arts Commission, worked for the National Endowment for the Arts as a consultant and been Assistant Manager of the Minnesota Orchestra. He spent 18 years as Director of Career Development at Notre Dame de Namur University.

He plans to discuss classical music concerts, movies and preview arts events that will be of the highest quality in the Bay Area. He also will be publishing articles and CD reviews on classical music. He encourage people to comment, agree or disagree!
